Last summer I personally experienced a huge miracle! I feel so blessed and am extremely grateful to be alive and perfectly healthy today following a terrible accident in August 2009. I know now without a doubt that I have many angels around me, guiding me, supporting me and allowing me to share my gifts with the world. I no longer have doubts and I know I have to live my dream and share the messages that come from my heart.
My husband Ed, my brother Rudy and his wife Lisa and myself were enjoying a fabulous summer day spent boating around the Long Island Sound and that evening we tied up at Paine’s Dock on Block Island for the night. That evening we all went out to dinner and it was dark when we returned to the boat. This is what followed. My husband Ed was pulling the lines of the boat taking it closer to the dock after it had drifted away during the course of the evening. Ed put out his hand to help my brother Rudy onto the boat. While he was doing this I took off my heels and threw them into the cockpit of the boat and decided to jump onto the swim platform. I did not realize the boat had dropped at least 6 feet because the tide had gone down. It was because of this that I completely misjudged the distance I was jumping.
I fell 6 feet. My feet missed the swim platform throwing me forward and I hit my head off the swim ladder attached to the swim platform bouncing me back against the dock before dropping me into the black and cold ocean. My husband dove into the water, grabbed me and threw me up to my brother Rudy standing in the cockpit of the boat. I was a mess, blood everywhere. My husband was scared and reacted by screaming at me “what did you think you were doing? You know safety is always first – you wait to be helped on.” I was too traumatized to respond anything except “I don’t know what I was thinking, I don’t know why that happened”. They called 911 despite my protests that I did not want to go to the hospital. They took off my wet clothes and wrapped me in blankets. The ambulance medics came and brought me to the hospital. The doctor examined me and determined I had a broken nose, broken ribs, cut open my bottom lip and smashed my thumb. They released me – in a great deal of pain – but very much alive! It was 3 o clock in the morning by the time they brought me back to the boat and lay me on the bed. As I lay there that night in my pained body I kept asking myself why did this happen. Morning came slowly and as I had not accepted any pain medication from the hospital I did not sleep at all. Ed had left to get some coffee and donuts and on his way he met a medical doctor who inquired how I was doing. Ed told him I was in pretty bad shape and the doctor brought Ed to his car and gave him a pain medicine to give to me to help me sleep. When Ed arrived back at the boat with the medicine I took ½ of the pill so I could get some sleep. Ed saved the other half of the pill for that evening.
I remember lying on the bed on our boat and seeing my Angel Cards on the shelf next to the bed. I wanted to reach up and grab them but I could not lift my body up off the bed. I eventually pushed through the pain and reached them. I pulled from the deck St. Teresa, Mother Mary and Padre Pio. I lay them beside me and asked for their healing and it was my focus these cards that allowed me some relief from the pain.
This accident happened on Sunday and on Tuesday I was back at work. I was a walking miracle for sure!
That Tuesday I happened to have a healer – Vanessa – in my store doing energy work on a customer. When Vanessa came into the store she was shocked when she saw me – I looked like a train wreck – bruised and battered. Vanessa, who has clairvoyant abilities told me I had my mother standing on my left side and both her parents on my right. Vanessa told me “your mother is telling you to write….insisting that I go sit down and write NOW!
