Your Strength is the Sea

Dee Derubbo Dopirak walked into the shop and was so taken away with the music that was playing. She didn’t know what was in here, or what brought her in here.

As she wandered around the store,  she stopped and said, “Oh my gosh, I want to share how I feel with you; I am so emotional.”

Dee said, “My father, I hear him belting out this song in Italian.”

See couldn’t stop singing the song ‘Mascagni’; she knew all the words in Italian.

I loved the meaning of the song (Mascagni by Andrea Bocelli).

The title means, “Lives among us…”

La Tua forza è is mare means: “your strength is the sea”

I just loved that! We all get our strength from the sea.

I explained to her that her dad was sending her a sign.

Walking in the shop- unknown to Dee- this was why she walked in.

Dee saw Andrea Bocelli live at Foxwoods and she said, “All I did was cry and cry and cry, with every song.”

Dee said, “I can’t believe you were playing his song.”

I love these words in his song

  • Run toward the sea
  • You will hear singing
  • The sweet music that will never die
  • And your strength is the sea
  • Free without chains
  • Your strength is the sea

This has been my confirmation to sail away into Mother Earth’s big ocean, the sea

Along with all who flock to the sea…

Gratitude,

Meg
