Hi everyone,
After the holiday was over, it was Tuesday, January 14th, and my phone kept going off, texting and ringing and then texting.
I was in the middle of going through TSA, in the airport.
I couldn’t respond to this yet, as you can understand.
I travel with food and they love to pull my bag off of the belt and go through the items.
Always asking me questions about it.
“Are you going somewhere where there is no food?”
I just crack up.
Fortunately, we had a really super person that went through the bag and made me laugh a lot.
I got through and knew my girlfriend Amy Smith must have had an issue, as she was the one who rang my phone a few times.
I texted her back explaining that I am returning in a few hours, I am in an airplane.
Amy texted me back that it’s her poor little puppy, Meimer.
The puppy got out of her fenced-in yard. On top of that, it was freezing cold outside. We all know how cold it was this January (and still is!)
On top of all that stress, Meimer needs medicine.
Amy asked for a golf cart and a drone to help her look.
I felt like I was letting her down, since I wasn’t around to help her out.
Then…
I thought, thought, and thought, and texted her back.
“Text my girlfriend, Karen Bufomo, and ring her as well. Karen is the person who will get you in touch with the people that you need. Karen will make it happen, just contact her.”
I also texted Karen asking to take Amy’s call, and she responded right away.
I knew Amy and Meimer were in incredible hands…
Karen spends unbelievable time and energy finding dogs, trapping them, and feeding them, along with the team that she is involved with, CT Dog and Recovery.
I know they do a fabulous job for our furry friends.
I was sitting in the airport feeing positive about this information that I passed on to her.
I also knew in my heart that Amy will get her puppy back, 100 percent.
That’s when a young woman walked over to me and said, “Supper…”
“Supper?”, I responded. I wasn’t sure what she was saying to me.
She clarified that I should place a pin above the pin on my jacket that says, Star.
Oh my, “Super Star”! I got it, and we bother laughed.
She lightened my mind up and made me chuckle.
We both smiled.
Thinking positive about the outcome, I boarded the plane.
The next morning,
Amy texted me with her miracle.
She came into her house, and the dog was curled up on the couch! He only had a small injury to his leg. Then she sent me a picture of Meimar eating.
She sent me pics of the drone they used too, as the crew spent 2 hours in the freezing cold looking for her dog, likely lighting the way so he could return!
It’s beautiful what this team did for Amy and Meimer.
Amy ran in my shop the next day so excited, talking about this huge drone that lit up the sky searching.
So thank you to all of the people involved in her search for her furry family friend! I love to share positive stories with like-minded people.
Amy was so grateful, and was so grateful that it all worked out well for everyone.
I always say, don’t wait for a miracle.
Be a part of one!
There’s a new moon tonight, Jan. 29th.
