Tuesday, September 22nd is the Autumn Equinox.
The word “Equinox” comes from the Latin words for “equal” and “night”.
The Autumn Equinox marks the time of the year when we’ll have equal hours of daylight and darkness.
After the Equinox, the night gets longer and the days get shorter.
The shorter daylight hours causes a chemical reaction in leaves, which is what makes them change color.
As we all prepare for the fall months approaching,
look out at all those amazing and colorful skies of delight,
the crisp air to breathe,
the harvest fairs to enjoy…
We live on a planet that is always sending us colors and signs of beauty for all of us to enjoy.

After the Equinox, September’s Full Moon will brighten up the sky on Saturday, September 26th.
September’s full moon is known as “The Corn Moon” because corn crops are harvested this time of year.
It’s also been called “Autumn Moon” or “Falling Leaves Moon”.
