Valentine’s Day 2011
I am so grateful to be here in my store. It is Monday and I usually am closed but it is Valentine’s Day and I am here!
Ed and I have just got back from sledding up at Sabago Lake, Maine and Bethel Maine. As I was coming around a bend a pheasant just walked out from under a tree. I stopped and said, “where did you come from?” “You are beautiful”. Ed came back making sure everything was ok and I explained to him this gorgeous beautiful bird, wouldn’t leave walking towards me. We headed North on the trail and the conditions were fantastic. The day was beautiful. Ed waved his arm and there was a huge, huge deer. As it slowly walked in the snowy woods it knew we were both present and it just slowly checked us out. The deer’s coloring was very dark – a dark blackish coat and was just travelling alone. Two weeks ago I had a visitation with the red-tailed fox at two different times. It took my breath away. On this trip we were 8 hours up in Shin Pond, Maine and tracks of moose, deer, turkeys and yes foxes were all over the trails leading into the forest. It was just magical.
With all this said, today Valentine’s Day, I spoke to my dad and said “Happy Valentine’s Day”. I told him your mom named you after the famous Rudolph Valentino because you reminded her of Rudolph. My dad laughed. My friend, Patrick – a healer, called me and I explained to him that my Dad is in hospice. He said to me, “you of all people know that this is the best decision that you made and know that it is the right decision”. I thanked him for his kind words.
My friend Patrick, in his comforting words of wisdom told me that the fox is my mother and the pheasant is bringing two people together and the deer is my father. Patrick also said “call your brother and tell him your father wants to see you, he has no other requests”. Patrick went on to say “your father wants your brothers to take care of Meg”. I just got all choked up with emotion with this information and a wave of tears just poured down my face. I had everyone in my shop crying along with me as I shared this information.
Spirit, thank you for sending the information for me to process and prepare for my Dad’s sacred passage. I am here with all 7 directions. I know in my heart he does love me as well as love all 3 of his sons. He did call me and said, “Meg, God was good to me. God blessed me with 4 beautiful children.” When I asked him “what kind of signs are you going to send me when you’re gone?” Dad said, “Meg, only good signs.” That’s when he said, “Meg can you buy me a pizza?”
Life is such a sacred journey for each one of us to walk. None of us know how long we will walk the path. So enjoy all the treasures each step along the way! Love each other and take a moment to hug each other.
Your loving daughter,
Meg xoxo
