Yoga With Rena | Saturdays at Meg’s

YOGA & PRANAYAMA

It may not be a 30 foot wave bearing down on you but how about a mountain of paperwork, a looming deadline, a nerve racking presentation, a turbulent flight, an overbearing boss, a sleepless infant, etc etc…….you get the idea! Energy exists in all things. It is an invisible force and in yoga this force is called Prana. The practice that moves prana through the body is called Pranayama. Prana is absorbed primarily through the breathing process, then you breathe in air you are absorbing Prana energy into your body. The art of breathing more deeply and effectively allows higher levels of Prana to circulate in your body.

To all interested in cultivating an inner environment conducive to health and wellbeing. Using the breath as your guide take a journey through a gentle flow of poses creating calm in an overactive mind, relaxation in a tensed muscle, and release for a trapped emotion. Discover a greater sense of peace and strength along the way. Through consistent practice increase your resistance to the negative effects of a stressful outer environment and stay centered no matter what is happening in your life. Experience the inner strength that withstandsany storm.

Gentle Yoga – Class structure (1 hour)

  • Centering Pranayama
  • Breath work Pratapana
  • Warm Up Asana
  • Postures Savasana
  • Relaxation

Along with your mat please bring a blanket and cushion to class to optimize your comfort and experience

Saturday’s | 9:30 AM | $10 per person
